ENTRYWAY
Students and faculty are welcomed into the Katzenberg Study Center at Boston University by a mixed media installation of eight contemporary panels depicting literary icons from rare books. The Boston Athenaeum, a 200 year-old library, was the architectural inspiration for this refined study hall and this abstract series creates an intellectual aesthetic that ties together the classical accents with the contemporary interior design.
STUDY AREA
A large, empty space within the bookcases of the main room was in need of inspiration. We selected a three-dimensional wall sculpture and modified the design with the artist to create a commanding focal point. The fluid movement and organic shape of Autumn Heart softens the linear environment, compliments the colors of the room and highlights the books that surround the space.
